Mayoral Year – April to May 2012

April 3rd: Today we attended a coffee morning at Abney Church we enjoy going to this church they make us feel so welcome and they need support with it not being in the centre of the town.

April 6th: Today is Good Friday and well went to wish a party of Mossley cyclists get set for a trip across the channel to France.

April 12th: We attended the annual Easter Coffee morning and Easter Service at Mossley Methodist Church.

April 14th: This evening we attended the Civic Dinner at Whitworth.

April 15th: This morning we paid a visit to Foxplatt Allotments to see the clean, up and also to go and look at the site which they want to clean up with the grant from Mossley Town Council.This afternoon we attended the Mossley Band lunch at Mossley Band room.

April 19th: This evening we attended M.O.A.D.S. The Wedding Singer, another good show .

April 21st: This morning we paid a visit to St George’s Church to the Gift Day.

May 1st: This morning we attended the coffee morning at Abney Church, and in the evening I presented cheques to 22 charities in Mossley with money which had been raised over my Mayoral year £3,340 this money was raised by my Mayoral committee my wife and myself over the passed 12 months it is a fantastic sum and was a pleasure to give organizations a little help.

May 12th: Today I was invited to start the Annual Teddy Parachute jump at St Georges Church, this event was to raise money for your charity and a  good day was had by all.

May 19th: This morning we attended the Spring Fair at Abney Church.

May 20th: This afternoon was the turn at the Methodist Church a concert given by St Johns Band and very good too.

May 21st: We add an invite this evening to attend the crowning of this years Brownie Queen at  St Georges Church, this was my last event of my Mayoral year.

As I have come to the end of my Mayoral year it gives me great pleasure to thank everyone who have supported me. To my Mayors committee and my family and friends. Thank you to everyone.
