Who We Are We are a Church of England congregation who currently gather for worship at All Saints Institute, Micklehurst Road. Our Parish Church, on Church Lane, is derelict and is officially redundant.
We are currently actively raising funds to build a new church and church hall on the site of the old parish church. The Church Hall will be a valuable resource to the community of Micklehurst and we welcome your ideas and constructive comments.
Times of Worship Sundays 10:00 - Parish Eucharist followed by refreshments.
On First Sunday of the month we have an extra service of Sunday Praise, at 11.30 am. It's very informal and family friendly and we sometimes have a baptism too. We have an open baptism policy at All Saints and place no pressures on parents to attend instruction or church services before their baby can be baptised. However, families must live in the parish or have strong connections to the church.
Every Fourth Sunday of the Month 18:30 - The Church is open for evening prayer and meditation.
Wednesdays - During Term Time Only 09:15 - School Assembly where children, teachers, helpers, carers, mums and dads from Micklehurst All Saints Primary School come into church.
Thursdays 09:00 - Morning Prayer.
Thursdays 11:30 - Holy Communion or Morning Praise.
Church Activities Thursdays Micklehurst Elderly Social Scene Luncheon Club - The luncheon club is open to all senior residents of Micklehurst over 55. You don't have to be a member of the church. There is transport provided for those unable to get to the institute and 'ring and ride' arranged to take people home at the end. There is time for arranged social activities, including bingo, and a nice two course hot meal with a glass of wine, beer or soft drink too! All for £3.00. If you don't live in Micklehurst you can still join but we are unable to arrange transport. Meals are freshly cooked on the premises. For more information contact Barbara Wright on 835780.
Thursdays 19:30 - Sing and a Sip. This is a time to get together and practice some of the hymns and songs we sing in our weekly worship. After all the hard work singing we reward ourselves with whatever beverage takes our fancy and something to eat.
