670. Appointment of Chair

RESOLVED: That Councillor M Milne be appointed Chair of the Council for the municipal year 2008/2009.

Councillor Milne then took the declaration of acceptance of the office of Chair.

671. Appointment of Deputy Chair

RESOLVED: That Councillor P Dossett be appointed Deputy Chair of the Council for the municipal year 2008/2009.

672. Minutes

RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meeting held on 16th April 2008, copies of which had been circulated to all members of the Council, be approved as a correct record.

673. Dates of Meetings 2008/2009

RESOLVED: That the dates for meetings of the Council in 2008/2009 as set out in the report of the Clerk now submitted be approved.

674. Appointment of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Mossley Town Council for Municipal Year 2008/2009

RESOLVED: [1] That Councillor Marie Milne be appointed the Town Mayor of Mossley for the municipal year 2008/2009.
                      [2] That Councillor Pat Dossett be appointed the Deputy Town Mayor of Mossley for the municipal year 2008/2009

Councillor Milne then signed the declaration of office as the new mayor.
