Mossley News April 2008 Sponsors Required - 16th April Jackie Skeldon, a nursery nurse at St. Joseph's church, is going to run the Manchester 10K on Sunday May 18th, raising funds for Child Flight and Marie Curie Cancer Care. Any sponsorship would be gratefully appreciated. For more information contact Councillor Jean Caldwell. Mossley Mind & Body have kindly offered a Sport's Massage to Jackie both before and after the race.
Twinning News - 16th April The children at St. Joseph's are learning French and contact has been made with The Notre Dame de Lourdes primary school in our twin town of Hem. One of their teachers Mme. Isabelle Tiberheirt is coming to Mossley on Monday April 28th to visit the school and become acquainted with the children and staff. Hopefully this will result in children becoming bi-lingual on both sides of the Channel Mossley Twinning Committee has been trying to make contact with a place in Germany called Weill near Cologne. Our Twin Town of Hem also twins with Weill and Aljustrel in Portugal. Initial contact has been made and a girl's football team are going to Germany to take part in a Cup competition in early June. We will await developments.
